My review of Progressive Direct:

Progressive is EVIL. About 3 years ago I was rear ended by an uninsured driver who was driving on a 3 times suspended license. The driver attempted to buy a policy immediately after the accident and fortunately the company he tried to buy it from contacted me right away and told me what exactly he was trying to do-COMMIT FRAUD essentially. It took several months to get a simple rear end accident taken care of because as soon as they found out the guy who hit me had no insurance they played every card they had to not pay for ANY of the accident. They also came to traffic court and DEFENDED THE GUY WHO HIT ME! The guy who was driving with no insurance and no license. I had been a customer of their's for years at this point and they had the audacity to support the guy who was at fault and blatantly breaking the law-not the person who was innocent and carrying the policy that they didn't want to have to pay out. Progressive still has not recovered any of my deductible and upped my rates as soon as my policy was up for renewal. Needless to say I switched carriers and magically my premium went down drastically. I feel for the family who was treated so badly and had a loved one pass away only to be treated like hell by their loved ones insurance company. Shame on you, Progressive-you obviously defend criminals to help your bottom line.

Back in March I had totaled my vehicle. The adjuster had come and hand delivered my payment to me instead of mailing it to me and waiting the time. Since the day of the accident and the close of the case/file it was less than a week. It was handled so professionally and quickly.
