I have had Amica for about two years now. Everything from the beginning started out well. Customer service was generally good, and the represntatives were always wasy to contact. That is until I got into an accident. Both parties involved in the accident had Amica Insurance as their insurance carriers. Initially I thought that this would help move things along, boy was I wrong! Placing a claim was very easy, however the other claims representative decided she was going to determine liability before even receiving my Accident Report & Claim information. This floored me, she was basing liability simply by the other parties "statement" and not on the basis of facts. It has since been over 30 days since the accident, and the claim has still not been resolved. They keep back tracking when I mention hiring an attorney to pursue damages. No one returns my phone calls, and when they do they are rude and disrespectful. Not only that I have received no written correspondence from them regarding the accident, since the accident, despite my numerous phone calls looking for paperwork to document where we were in the claims process. All I want is to be compensated for my damages, and that just does not look like it is going to happen. Extrememly frustrated, and so unhappy with their lack of good business ethic. Once my policy is up in November, I will be taking my business elsewhere!!!
